Product Introduction
The Disc Insulator Suspension Type is actually a piece of porcelain or glass with a steel cap and iron feet above and below. It can be used in series. It is usually made of porcelain and glass pieces and metal fittings (such as steel feet, iron caps, flanges, etc.) clamped with cement or machinery. The product is widely used in electric power systems, and in general, it works under atmospheric conditions to overhead transmission lines, while the busbars of power plants and substations and the external energized conductors of various electrical equipment are supported by it. It makes it insulated from the ground (or grounded objects) or from the edges of other conductors with potential differences.
Product Function
As one of the important equipment of transmission lines, The Disc Insulator Suspension Type is responsible for the important task of lifting wire and tower insulation. It is used in high voltage, UHV and ultra-high voltage transmission lines around the world, providing a reliable guarantee for the safe operation of transmission lines. This product is divided into two types: one for AC systems and one for DC systems. The high resistance insulation material formulation, the special umbrella structure and the anti-corrosion design of the metal fittings make it fully meet the demanding requirements of the aging performance of HVDC transmission products. There are many kinds of umbrella structure design of this product, which provides a variety of reasonable choices for the use of various regional lines.
